Here’s some great new for all beer and food lovers in NYC:
The Navy Yard is looking to be even stronger after Brooklyn Brewery recently declared that they will join Russ & Daughters and the Mast Brothers with a massive production facility as well as a new amazing rooftop restaurant. Check out these pictures!
The lease is for 40 years and covers an impressive 75,000 square-feet and will be home for the brewery, offices and the rooftop restaurant that is more of an truly inspiring beer garden.
This is history in making since no brewery have ever offered food before, and it looks like Brooklyn Brewery will be the first to do so. The menu is not set of course but Chief Executive Eric Ottaway say says that it will consist of “more than pretzels and bratwursts.”
It been hinted over the last 3 years that Brooklyn Brewery was planning to expand since they have been on the outlook for a new spot for some time now. Its likely that the actual manufacturing will not take place at their Williamsburg location anymore after its lease ends in 2025. However, some sort of public facing interaction, as a brewpub, will still be in operation.
If everything goes according to plan Brooklyn Brewery will open its hot spot at the Navy Yard early 2018. The newly renovated building 77 is part of a state project to attract foodies and large investments have been put in place to make this happen.
It surely looks really good, judging from the pictures, and we can't wait to try it out!
